Duna Munguy: the perfect vacation destination
After spending many family vacations on the magnificent Basque coast, we’ve decided to settle here permanently in 2021. We were looking for a place where we could share with you our vision of vacations: moments of conviviality, discovery and pleasure, in an exceptional natural setting.
When we discovered the Duna Munguy campsite, we fell in love with it: an authentic, unspoilt setting just a stone’s throw from the ocean. For us, it’s the ideal place to spend a vacation in the Basque Country, whether you’re a nature lover, a sports enthusiast or just curious to explore our beautiful region.

The “sea, surf and chill” experience in the Basque Country
Imagine a vacation day lulled by the rhythm of the ocean, here on the Basque coast at Saint-Jean-de-Luz! In the morning, head to the beach for a surf session or an invigorating dip in the waves. In the afternoon, take a stroll along the coast to enjoy the scenery and breathe in the sea air before returning to the campsite.
Relax on the sun loungers by the pool or enjoy a game of table tennis with the whole family!
In the evening, a convivial barbecue on the campsite creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere, before, why not, returning to admire the sunset on the peaceful and authentic beaches of our neighborhood.
That’s just one of the programs we offer! Just 300 m from the ocean, our campsite with swimming pool in the Basque Country is the ideal base camp for a vacation in tune with the waves, with all services for your comfort.

Cleanliness and respect for the environment
We welcome you to a privileged setting, where preserving the environment plays an essential role. For several years now, we have been actively committed to protecting nature and reducing our energy consumption. Every year, we strive to take this initiative even further.
To minimize our ecological impact, we have implemented simple and effective solutions, such as :
- Water pressure reducers installed in all accommodation,
- LED lighting in rental units and solar lamps in common areas,
- Use of biodegradable cleaning products,
- Diverse landscaping with a wide variety of tree and shrub species.
We therefore encourage you to adopt simple and responsible gestures throughout your stay to reduce your ecological impact:
- On the campsite, I sort my waste:
Sorting bins are available at the campsite entrance (glass: containers 200 m away). By sorting, we give a second life to our waste, reduce the impact of our consumption and preserve our natural resources. - Water, a precious commodity:
Help us save water by not letting it run unnecessarily. Report any leaks or malfunctions, and make sure you don’t flush anything down the toilet. - Electricity, a simple gesture for the planet:
Remember to turn off lights and radiators when you leave a room or your accommodation. Every little gesture counts in reducing our energy consumption. - Favoring soft mobility:
For short trips, consider using your bike or the shuttles available from the campsite.
