A warm welcome at our campsite in the Basque Country
Your stay at our Duna Munguy campsite is fast approaching! Here’s some practical information to help you prepare for your arrival. We’ll be happy to welcome you at reception between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the day of your arrival. If this time is not convenient for you, please contact us so that we can arrange a suitable solution.
For the duration of your stay, the reception desk is the place to go to get all the help you need. We’ll be there every morning, from 8.30am to 10am, to take your bread and pastry orders, and at the end of the day, from 5pm to 6.30pm, to answer any questions you may have.
At reception you will also find a wealth of useful information:
- tourist brochures detailing the region, its activities and events (freely available),
- our partner offers,
- a selection of carefully chosen local products.
Outside reception opening hours, we’re always happy to chat with you at the campsite, sharing our tips and favorites to make your vacation in the Basque Country even more memorable.
Easy vacations on foot or by bike
At Camping Duna Munguy, make yourself comfortable and discover the region in a whole new way: on foot, by bike or by public transport!
Our campsite is ideally located for enjoying the Basque coast to the full, without having to take your car. Take your time to discover the surrounding area by using gentler means of transport. Situated on the banks of the Vélodyssée and the coastal path, you’ll have easy access to the surrounding beaches, or can set off to discover charming nearby villages such as Guéthary, Saint-Jean-de-Luz or Bidart.
Want to explore a little further afield? Why not take public transport? Several Txik Txak lines run nearby, including line 16, which stops right in front of the campsite (“Camping Duna Munguy” stop), and the beach shuttle.
Bikes and surfboards for hire at the campsite
Fancy a surf session or a bike ride? We’ve thought of everything to make your outdoor activities easier!
Just a stone’s throw from your accommodation in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, we offer equipment rental so you can experience the beauty of the Basque coast in complete freedom.
- Whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate, we’ve got surfboards to suit you. In addition to the equipment, we give you valuable advice on choosing the best spots according to tides, weather conditions and the ideal time to surf.
- For bike lovers, we offer a rental service in partnership with a local rental company (preferential rate for our customers/contact us for more information). With a reservation, you can pick up your bikes just 200 meters from the campsite and explore the surrounding area at your own pace.

The playground: for children’s enjoyment
At our campsite with swimming pool in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the playground is the second-favorite meeting place for children!
It’s a place where the youngest can experience a thousand adventures, from climbing to sliding, from hanging to acrobatics. It becomes their kingdom of imagination, enriched by the friendships they make there.
For the older kids, the action moves to the table tennis, darts or table soccer tables, where one frenzied game follows another, with suspenseful revenge.
Looking for a quieter time? Our self-service library could be the perfect home for your vacation novel.
And because there’s something for everyone, the play area, located next to the barbecue, becomes a real hub of conviviality. While the little ones have fun under the watchful eye of their parents, the adults get together to share an aperitif and exchange vacation tips while watching the grills!

In our neighborhood, you’ll find all the shops you need for everyday life: grocery stores, restaurants, food trucks, takeaway pizzas… The nearest shopping center, with supermarket and pharmacy, is 2 km away by car.
Take advantage of your stay in the Basque Country to discover the many local producers. Don’t hesitate to ask us for recommendations, and come and taste the local products we’ve selected for you at reception.
Travel with your pet
We’ll be delighted to welcome your pets to the campsite, with a limit of one pet per rental unit: dog (except categories 1 and 2) or cat. For everyone’s well-being, here are a few rules to follow:
- Your pet must be tattooed and have up-to-date vaccinations.
- It must be kept on a leash and walked outside the campsite for its natural needs.
- Out of respect for our fellow holidaymakers, noisy or threatening animals will not be accepted.
- We also ask you not to leave your companions alone in the accommodation.
A daily fee will be charged per animal for its stay.
We’re convinced that, thanks to these few instructions, your companion will enjoy his stay in the Basque Country at our campsite just as much as you do!
