Visit the Basque villages: seaside resorts, of course, such as Biarritz or Saint-Jean-de-Luz, once very popular among our aristocrats and wealthy now newly revitalized.

Delve into the back country, to discover preserved and authentic villages, huge houses with red, green or blue shutters built around their fronton wall.

Take the little rack railway up the Rhune, and conquer this mythic summit of our Pyrénées Atlantiques Mountains. From its 900 metre high summit (2953 ft), you'll have a breathtaking view of the Pyrenean Chain and the entire Basque coastline, all the way to the Landes.

Cross over the Pyrénées Atlantiques into Spain to discover the monumental works of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, or the unique charm of "the Pearl of Cantabria", the seaside resort of San Sebastian.
